Well my 325's burn around 15gph flat out. The equivilent small block petrol, say a 350mag mpi, or 6.2mpi will use 25gph flat out (at least) maybe 30. I think diesel has a higher calorific value.

A little big bigger, quite a bit heavier (they're around 400 kg's), exact same bell housing pattern, engine mount location etc, so a simple direct replacement in most cases.

Agreed, the pipework appears to head off somewhere, and back into the inlet manifold in the 'installed' pic. One would assume that 'somewhere' is the location of the intercooler.

That's home made. the water cooled exhaust manifolds are definitely fabricated home grown jobs. Also, as it doesn't appear to be intercooled, I'd doubt very much if it would make 330hp.

The twin turbo was produced by Peninsular diesel at a claimed 400hp. I believe the Greek coastguard were using them.

Don't think they do that one anymore.
