i know it sounds crazy, and i hope im not going mad, but by the look of the controls inside the boat there is a box and switch that alters the pitch of the blades, i think that is off an aircraft,...

looks like an aeroplane prop to me, maybe the guy put the wrong sort of prop on ,he he
