JOB TITLE Laminator / Tool Maker
JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be joining a large fully equipped R & D facility for mould design and production and over 45,000 sq ft of production space dedicated exclusively to composite manufacture.
They provide quick and effective solution to composite component manufacture; in closed mould, resin infusion, vacuum bagging and traditional hand laminate techniques.
As a supplier to leading UK and international brand name companies in the Marine, Home Improvement and Construction markets, they have developed skills within both high quality precision tool production and volume component manufacture.
They provide quick and effective solution to composite component manufacture; in closed mould, resin infusion, vacuum bagging and traditional hand laminate techniques.Efficient and cost effective mould tool manufacture is an integral element of the business.
Primary tasks:
Effectively and efficiently work within the production and maintenance of all patterns, plugs, parts and moulds associated within company’s products and practices.
Required to undertake samples and prototype components for the company and clients
Responsible for working as part of a close team ensuring self discipline, good time keeping, and an excellent health & safety attitude.
Required to closely follow working procedures and instructions – both written and verbal
Expected to accurately record process information and material details
Responsible for good general housekeeping
You will have an interest in developing own skills through training and personal in-house development.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in composites, have good attention to detail, be inventive and be adept at problem solving.
Essential key skills required for this role:
Hand Laminating Skills
Various Composite Processing Methods
Sanding, Cutting & Polishing
Plug Building & Mould Making
Power Tool and Small Machine Use
High Attention to Detail
Self Discipline
Good Timekeeping

That's about the correct rate for a Lami, but they don't normally come with the rest of the skills for that hourly rate!
