Bristol City Docks Racing
Any one too tight to pay to get into wales for the FA cup in Cardiff etc this weekend, you can catch the K200 & K400 racing at Bristol Ciy Docks (Cumberland Basin) by Baltic Wharf both Saturday and Sunday this weekend.
About 25+ races over the weekend, with about 16 race boats, of which over half are for the RYA K200 National Championship.
Racing starts at about 10.30 each day and the pub is right on the quay side for the spectators.

Great racing boys and more trophies than you can shake a stick at well done.
Will post some pics here soon.
Do you realise we had over 30 race starts to deal with during the weekend minimal racing incidents a credit to all the competitors skill in such a confined space.

Went down years ago the the Bristol GP (James Beard won in the James Latham Special) real great viewing and very much close to the action. Anyway I'll always remember this Bristol mono that hooked in front of us and the boat just hit the wall with a tap what was funny and had us all in laughter was he was in the water but his "pumps" were still in the boat in the exact driving positon when he exited. Top marks swam back to the boat climbed in & went on 10/10.............

Compared to how people used to hit the wall there then you'd have said minimal too.

Have a look on the Australian Offshore site, Connexion Press Release, two boats collided and one burnt to the water line.
Worse than hitting a wall!
