Yoooo Hooo Hoooo
Third one down .. That I'd love to have a go at.
I'd plough it up the bank I know but what a hoot.
Thats a nice thing with a jet you can do that stuff, as Mrs Fin found out,
spare room that night.
(Though could be more to do with getting her to do the Titanic bow bit on the way in ,then sticking it in reverse)

I dont recall who owns the boat Burty...I have seen it in the flesh...sorta speak, and it is really fast. Actually, it is capable of 200+ mph but they have it tuned down as no one has the gonads to be in it...not even me.

What would a 21 phantom with 300x do rich? You need to do a little work on your hull before she put back in the water. " love the tape" you need to change the name to CRACKER instead of T I.

Burty, It is the boat I throttle, and it is not capable of 200mph
we have had it to 182 and with some more dialing in it may approach 200,but it has the small L13 turbines in it 1450hp
our MTI has the bigger ones.

PS My nads will take it as fast as it will go

Sorry ScottyB...I was told that it could go 200+ and also that the MTI was even faster...my bad. You guys gonna put some bigger turbines in either one?

The MTI has bigger turbines, the issue we are dealing with is it starts to become a little squirley at 170 mph, we are current working with Dave Villwock on props and we are also experementing with venting the hull and transom. We are also, with the help of the unlimited guys, starting to play with the actual aerodynamics of the boat. Both of these boats main priority will be racing, but 200 mph will come with more testing.

What I'd give for a go in that boat. It is an absolute work of art.

Well ScottyB...Being a pilot, I am in Florida alot...especially around the Miamia area, so if you guys ever need some help, I will be your "GO-4". I work on boats cheap...couple of cokes or beers and I am paid...work on or fly airplanes...I get 6 figures and it is not negotiable.

What about installing larger engines or being able to add some balast as you are under way, and be able to dump balast as you are under way. I have a bud that flies for the forestry service and they never really land on the water. There is a scoop that lowers from the bottom of the plane and when they skim across the water, the scoop grabs the water and it is forced into a tank. When it is full, the water shoots out the over flow, then they retract the scoop, add power and climb out to go to the fire and dump it. Then they return and repeat the process again. This might calm the squirrels down.

There is a dude up here in North Texas, Leon Derebery, who is building a skater copy or whatever. He is saying that he is going to go over 200 mph on pistons. He claims to be this big engine builder, but it is my understanding that someone in Florida is building the motors for the boat.

Its alot easier to talk about doing 200mph and building a boat that will do 200mph on paper, than it is to actually do 200. On paper, our MTi should do 212
but it become unsafe at 170.
Their are only 2 offshore teams that can tell you what 200 feels like,
Bud Select 202 and Callan Marine 208mph both documented in events.
Their are many people who have, or are building 200mph boats if you get my drift We hope to be added to that list this summer but it easier said than done

Callan marine may build fantastic boats but their website is the worst I have ever seen.

http://www.callanmarine.com/flash/fl...n_content.html

How many people are still running at 640x480? Flash is a pain - I bet the site cost them a bomb - they have obviously never heard of KISS!!!

Went there to see some of their boats - nearly went blind instead.....

Ahh just noticed - it is ok in IE - but as so many people use Firefox you would think they would have realised that.
