Hi, you would need to use an epoxy based resin. You would also need it to be uv stabilized otherwise you will have to lacquer it to protect it from the sun. As for the cloth, there are a few places on ebay that offer different weight clothes and twills.
Cheers

We've done a few screens, transoms, dash panels etc. It seems to work fine for a dash panel if you lay up on a sheet of glass, using clear gel, than std polyester resin, we used to back it up with a black pigmented resin afterwards, but it probably wasn't needed.

I agree.
As long as you are not using the carbon for strength but only for cosmetics than you can just use polyester resin.
They always told me to clear it afterwards because the polyester will turn yellow over time.

I need a couple of metres squared 2 twill. Not too sure about the weight.....
SO it will be ok with clear gel and then polyester resin, I have epoxy and polyester, but heard a rumour it gets lots of air bubbles with epoxy, that cause pin holes!
