I want one so bad.......
One boat that I have always wanted but never been able to afford....yet, is only sold in America, some have over 800hp and are only 18ft long. They are capable of around 100+mph and doing this in 6 seconds. Intregued?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jet-b...38487263QQrdZ1
Anyone have any ideas how much it would cost to ship over here?
P.S I can never get enough hp and just maybe I can now

Shipping of a boat is a variable but use $4k for an example.
so as a guide using $30k as a purchase price
Boat 30K
shipping 4K
sub total 34 K
-----------------
Duty 5% 1.7K
Sub Total 35.7K
------------------
VAT 6.247K
---------------------
Total 41.9475 K
ball park it at buying price x 1.45

DT I know what you feel, I'd like to get an STV over here. But I wouldn't use those boats on the sea not to mention the RCD.

well apart from in my dreams it would fare well in lakes and allowing for the wind to be right at sea too. To be perfectly honest though all I want is to hear the raw power of that V8 and just sit in it on my drive..... Vroom Vroom. I would need at least £1,000,000 to run her for the day too, but I am sure its worth it. Maybe i'll take it up a strech of canal, I always wanted to do that, its such a good man made water raceway :P Could the cops catch me ??
P.S Not being serious on the canal thingy, have a feeling I would get thrown in jail :P

You looking for a SkiBoat?
If yes then look in Europe for Scandinavian selling sites...recently I´ve found several for sale within 5-10K Euros all having BigBlocks one being a shaft driven Drag Boat.
FYI There´s lots of American Skiboats in Scandinavia, Mine being one of them!

The only real problem these days in the UK as I see it is that there are too many knobs who find anything over 64 decibels just tooooooo offensive, and before you know it boats are banned from another lake! They have no passion in their lives! Give me loud and fast anyday.

Me on the other hand thinks it quite the other way...with out an helmet (wind in the hair) your boat has to be really loud to even hear it running from the windnoise so think about those who listen to you run by...over here with full of archipelago it must someday become and issue ( no noise laws here) but a powerboat can be heard 5-6 miles before you get it into the view...
Makes a comparison to a Harley easy...loud pipes no power and a whimp behind the wheel.
It takes more guts to drive hard and wake up later in a hospital in a body scanner...
Been there done that, got the scars to prove it.
Who believes a Yank skiboat can´t be run offshore ?
And Why ...assumption only?...and we all know what the assumption is the mother of...
PS. I have never run my Skiboat in a Lake but in the Archipelago almost constantly.

I've broken a good few American ski boats running in the sea, as have a few friends, this doesn't mean tho', that British or European boatbuilders don't build some shite also.
TD broke his almost new Scarab 30 Panther with relative ease, and it only had 330s in it.

There are some posh new flats being built in Weston right next to the slip. I wonder how the new residents will take to being woken up on a sunday morning by the sound of an open exhaust V6 Mercury?
