Actually I didn't mean to mention 'Speed' at all. I had him confused with someone else. Apologies again.

Good day Gentlemen,
Well, this is my first post on your forum, and I have to begin by confessing that I am a scream and cry reject. So that there are no misunderstandings straight from the beginning I would like to confess that though I was not booted off of said former forum, however I was literally told by the administrator to shove it. Below I enclose the links where I have been accused of my wrongdoings, namely advertising without being a supporting a vendor. It is possible that I overstepped the boundaries of enthusiasm towards a boat that I personally built, with my own hands and has become marketed for sale by my best friend and in some capacity myself. The truth is, I took every opportunity to speak with enthusiasm about our boat and was willing to engage anyone who wanted to discuss anything about it. To the best of my ability I was unable to find any hard fast rules on the forum detailing what constituted enthusiasm and what constituted marketing. The end result was that the administrators had decided, or had been pressured by other supporting a vendor’s, to put a stop to my post. What they did not realize was, that I am simply a hardcore performance boating enthusiast that likes to share whatever information we are able to discover by trial and error and I love to talk boats.
So, I have to apologize for having had to start posting on your forum with a disclaimer, but I am certain that there are many members on here that are on both web sites and I do not wish to hide anything. I am hoping that my style of writing will not be misconstrued as marketing but rather a genuine interest in sharing information.
I have to thank you for putting on a fabulous website, though I found you through screen and fly, what I found most intriguing is your extensive video collection. I am not very computer savvy but I would like to contribute a shortage amateur video footage that I took this past summer in Canada, as a token of my appreciation and contribution to your website.
Would somebody kindly instruct me as to how I could submit this for everybody’s entertainment?
I look forward to participating if you are will have me…
Ted

Great first post...
Capitalism is the survival of the fittest and mee thinks Tuff 21 looks GREAT and with those lines your boats will Succeed.
Hell how much is one pm me?
I´m looking myself forward on doing a bigger offshore boat better than any Aronow Splashers over the pond.
With Diesels and surface drives.

Right.
Firstly, We're not gonna have a transatlantic battle going on here, and in an effort to supress this, I've mod'd Mikey's post very slightly.
Lets all just see if we can get along, otherwise we're no btter than some of the more biggoted posters on the various websites.
Secondly, Ted, you're very welcome here on Boatmad, and I look forward to seeing your design/build story, and you can market your 'wares' all you like on Boatmad.
So, lets not start any 'bashing' of any nations, or other forums, and just enjoy the net for exchanging ideas and info.
cheers
JF

does not sound like a disclaimer to me, it sounds like an agenda. If you don't like S&F, don't go, but why bring your laundry here?

Don't worry Mr Fish, we'll not be using Boatmad as a soapbox for bashing any other sites!
Let's not jump to any conclusions, coz I know what that's like!
Let's just see how things go for now

Thank you all for the warm welcome!
It truly is not my intention to market anything, though I appreciate the offer, I’m merely proud and enthusiastic about what we’ve got.
So on that regard, any suggestions on how to share a video with the group? It’s fairly large, about 44Megs., and I don’t know of any site that can host it… I’m offshore for a couple of days but I look forward to sharing with everyone…

Jumping to conclusions
Jon was the focus of a bashing that was started with no actual understanding of the video. I thought it was a race course pre run at first. Too many today want to tell others what they can and can't do instead taking care of their own issues ! Keep up the work guy's and when Fish and I make a trip over we wan't a ride !! Mike
