You have listed everything that an engine requires to run. That fact that is isn't means one of those has been missed.

So, please answer the following:

How have you confirmed that fuel is entering the engine?
What is your compression readings on all cyl?
What deg advance for timing are you seeing when trying to crank the engine using a timing gun?
Have you checked visually all the plugs to see what they look like?
Have you tried with a new set of plugs?

Mercruiser 4.3

Hi I tested engine getting fuel by new spark plugs when take them out wet? Putting fuel down carb
Compression is 130 to 138 8 deg advansted on timming
Have tried new plugs, old plugs also set of plugs from friends engine my plugs work in his
My ht leads work on his
Can't change any other items as his has different ignition system to me

Have you ever had the engine running ,or have you just bought the boat .Whats the history of the engine have you had any work done recently .If spark fuel and compression are good sound like timing is out and needs re-timing .

Hi yes boat was running fine cruising obout 25 knots then just cut out as if no petrol? Had service and risers gaskets and intake gaskets replaced but that was in march been out many weekends scince then no problem.?

How about running some fresh fuel from an outboard tank directly to the carb by passing all filters. If it runs, then its tank, filters,pump and fuel lines that are the problem .Could be water in the fuel.

Hi have tried fresh fuel while at it tried brand new plugs new battery (returned to shop as no different to my large leisure batt) still no joy just tries then stops then sounds like carb is flooded?...
