Old tunnelboat
Hi,
Have an old s850 hull without safetycell.
I am trying to register the boat but they need evidence it is build before CE papers where needed.
Previous owner told me it was a barracuda?
Can someone give a link to there site or similar so i can enjoy the boat next summer? Previous search on the net didn't gave any results.
Without the registration i can get no insurrance so it is needed.
Regards

No website for Barracuda. Bob gave up building boats in the 90's. Spends his time fishing last I spoke to him.

Being a raceboat it most likely would not come into CE approval anyway as exempt from RCD / CE.

Found the fast on water stuff, not the info needed.
I need to prove my boat is before a certain year, 1998 in this case.
think maybe i can prove because it has no cell?
- prove that barracuda no longer existed in 1998...
When did the safety cells became neccesary to enter a race?.
I am from belgium, here you need to register the boat.
Then you get a immatriculatieplaat.
This holds the number given to boat, and that number you need to get insurance and al other things...
Al boats before 1998 need no CE papers, raceboat or not...

Boat is being restored. Need new paint.
But is very good shape, always stored in doors in heated garage.
Didn't saw any water in 10years before i bought it, time capsule :-) .
I'm gonna keep it retro

If it was built yesterday it still wouldn't need a CE ticket - tell them it's a raceboat and that should be enough - Unless the Belgian CE rules are different but they shouldn't be as they are meant to be the same all over Europe - that's the point!
