1988 scorpion performance 38ft competition race/poker run, low reserve

Not a repo boat, but it sure does appear that it is available for a very reasonable price although it failed the reserve, I am sure their was a thread on this in the US some months back, even at $20K it would of made a pretty cheap historic endurance racer

Not a Repo, but is this a misprinted price as this type of boat in Europe has often been advertised around £150K or is it a boat just so un-suited to the USA market he's just priced it to get out of it

38' fabio Buzzi Deisel RIB

PRICE $79,000 around £48K ... defo think this a wrong price

Carrying on in my bargain bucket boat section this time fleebay for your Xmas stocking

40 ft. Kevlar and Graphite Navy Seal Powerboat owner states it's not a bullet proof sale as it has a few in the upper deck but on the positive side it may be an Aronow/Apache style design ... never mind at a few bucks and some hard graft should be ready for RB 2050

Again not a repo boat ... 47' Apache needs rigging and no price so must be free anyhow this has just recently been added to the for sale listings and if it is a new add and not an old add re-surfacing could be of interest to those looking at the cougar 46' for marathon racing

Is this the same boat (Fava Shoes)that shows SOLD 2-1-08 that was racing in the UK last year and hopefully will make a return again this year as Bountyhunter or is this a similar 39' cig from around that time and consequently has a similar deck

Here is an FB boat talked about on seeing double thread for sale at EUR 123K ...

Histroy of the Model:
Nitro 50 was made by Cigala & Bertinetti in Italy, hence the C&B logo on the side. They were a Fabio Buzzi design and a pleasure version of the very successful "CESA 1882" and "Gancia dei Gancia" UIM Class 1 racers. The original concept originated in mid 80s and was powered by quad Iveco Aifo diesels which soon reached their maximum potential at around 600hp. apiece. Buzzi then designed his own engine and that's how Seatek came about. He repowered the Nitro with four Seateks and won 15 out of 16 races in 1988. He also won the World Championships in 1988. The boat was called CESA 1882 at that point. The same boat was then renamed Gancia dei Gancia and took the Championship again, I believe it was in Atlantic City with the late Stefano Casiraghi at the wheel. Later, this hull design was used as a base for a number of successful racing boats such as La Gran Argentina which took the World Championships in 1994 and 1995, La Gran Trimax which still holds the Miami-Nassau-Miami record at the average speed of 100 mph and finally, Sony-Isotta Fraschini which won its class in Key West this year.

Yes it turned out to be a nice boat I was lucky.
Anyone buying off National Liquidators needs to know a few things. I wouldn't say they are easy to deal with, there communication is poor and you need to keep on their case all the time.
A lot of their boats have been standing for some time since the photos were taken and are left outside without their covers in temperatures well below 0.
A lot of the stock came from Lake Cumberland marine when they went bust last year.
Even though there are still some good deals to be had but make sure you view first.

But Nitro came before CESA, and appears to be a single step boat, as apposed to CESA's twin steps. So the C&B boat can't be based on Cesa.

I thought Nitro ran the Iveco's, was too slow due in part to it's weight, then 'Rolly Go' was the new lighter (twin step) hull, that also ran Iveco's early on, but kept breaking cranks, then it got the Seatek's, and the rest is history.

Yes it does all seem like their is allot of misinformation knocking around, I thought it was interesting what the owner had stated about the boat as it seems this is what he thought, or information perhaps Cigala & Bertinetti in Italy who built the boat fed him, I bet if Buzzi himself posted the waters would still be a bit muddy
