Next week to be precise, I've just had a call from the shippers, Peters & May, and "my ship comes in" on Monday, so I should be able to collect me boat by Wednesday!

I'm sure that there will be calls for me to be hung drawn and quartered, but they'd have to catch us first!

Not really, I reckon I have 2 options. The most likely is getting it certified, which doesn't actually cost that much as although it's 30 foot long, it has no cabin so is classed as a sports/ski boat.
Or I can have it as a race boat, which is exempt from certification!

Well I know where I'd stick Euro Certification & CE if I had a choice.

Feck me, not arrived in the country yet and already the speed is increasing!
Although perhaps on the right day, with the correct props, bit more trim, low on fuel, 10 knot tide etc it may well exceed that!

It would be nice to hear about costs of CE certification , we may all at one point want to import a boat from the US...
