Toe in - toe out?
Hi!
I am now rigging twins on my Phantom 25. I have been reccommended to turn the props outward. I will have twin Merc 2.5 EFI SS engines (15 inch mids) spinning for a start labbed Mirage 27 pitch props. Propheight approx. 1 inch below the bottom.
Would you reccommend to mount the engines toe in or toe out. And how much?
Cheeeers, Toffen G

I think last months question was which way should the props turn. If I understand correctly I think this months is: Should the engines be parallel, closer at the front or closer at the back? If so, by how much?
But I'm usually wrong.

Toe in or toe out
Hi!
Last month was spin in or out. This month toe in or toe out. Two different aspects of boating.

As far as I can se the only thing that will change with toe-in/toe-out is the amount of banking (roll) and change boat trim you will get in turns.
On surface drives we have used differential power trim to control the amount of roll we get in turns, get quite different characteristics.
I would just try to run them parallel to start with…
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Petter
