Top speed from a 90HP
Right then folks.....Question!
Have a 1999 Mercury 90HP 2 Stroke on a 17ft phantom style looking boat.
What prop (pitch, diameter, blade no's etc) do you guys reckon would achieve the highest top speed on calm water?
Im not bothered about acceleration, comfort or anything else just top speed.
What do u guys reckon???

As a guide, same engine on a Ring 15, we ran a 19 Hi-Five or a 20 laser II, speed was in low to mid 50's

I ran78km/h (gps) withthe same engine on 16ft g-craft with 2 people onboard.
Prop was from mercury, 3 blades dont know the type.
Blades where very thin. Rpm arround 6200 (19pitch), to small prop.
High five was a bad prop for me on that boat. Bad prop to for top speed.

i had a ring 15 / 90 yam, we raced it in ocr for two years, it ran 56/57 on a gps with a standard 21 yam prop, my mate had a ring 15 as well but with the merc 90 and ran 10 mph slower,
