What do you mean by measured for ocr?
Is there a minimum weight in ocr or something?

The boat was sandwich construction with a balsa core, built to conform to OCR regulation weight which at the time I think was 600kg. It ran a fully legally homologated XR2, carrying all the necessary ancillary equipment necessary for the class rules (fire extinguisher, paddles etc etc). It was set up especially for the record run with navigator sat in the rear, small fuel tank etc. Martyn will be the first to tell you that setting it up for the record week was totally different to how it ran in OCR, where it used to run low 70`s in race set-up. It was the quickest 20 in OCR and performed well in all conditions, taking the Rendalls to European Gold in 1996 and National Silver in 2 seasons. The Barsch set-up P18`s always seemed to just have the edge.
A lot of work, dedication and testing went into getting that boat right.
The weight, engine legality etc were checked virtually every year.
Hope this helps.

First of all 260 electronics will never turn 8500 rpm.
If you say it runs in the 90's I want to believe you because I also want to make my boat that fast. Just teach me how please.
Give some more info on engine height, engine specs and so.
Do you know what it takes to go from 82 to in the 90'S ? I think around 80 to 90HP.
I have a Hydrostream vector with a 280, turning a 28 shopper at 8000 rpm with 2:1 it does 93, but this is pad bottem 17ft boat of 190 kg

heres a raven wild cat windemere 2 years ago.this is ski boat version.ran 101 with 2.5 ss with 260 electrics at8700. thats also a fact,so you better start dreaming

Do you compare this boat with a Phantom?
I have a hydrostream vector, also does that with a modified 2.5.
I always thought the phantom was a good rough water boat, but the speeds you guys get out of them I have never seen here in belgium.
The first boat I raced was a P18 with XR2 in F3 and juniors, did74 MPH

I was just going on what I'd read on S and F where they seem to think that tuners and tuner lenghts don't make any difference on the V6 mercury's, unless its a restrictive tuner from say a 150 fishing motor. I've even seen posts where people have had their tuners fall off mid race and haven't noticed at all untill hearing a rattle after the race.
So what I meant was that some subtle change in length or shape to the tuner in the 280 wouldn't make any real difference.
