Just for the record, Double Trouble was built new by Mike Ring, for Brien Gray in 1994, was fitted out by Brien & myself in time for the 1995 season to pull Colin Gray in the juniors, I later competed behind it in Club Class in 1998, it had twin 225 Yamaha's, and most definitely wasn't a Varne boat, twin rigs weren't really suited to being recovered from the beach after the tide went out! It was Whitstable boat. It was sold in early 2000
As far as I was aware, was last seen for sale on boats & outboards, but had been painted blue.

I saw a Ring21C Double Trouble with twin Yammies for sale in Belgium/Holland last year. If I'm not mistaken the ad said 8000€ and 140km/h. Somewhat oldfashion colourscheme : blue/yellow/white/red... but looked solid.

My brother Neil bought one of Jim's Orange Waterbirds and I know he shipped it to New York when he went there to work. I think he sold it there too.
I can ask him.

I'm pretty sure Double Trouble ended up painted blue, found this for sale on Boats & Outboards a few years back (Blue photo from Boats & Outboards, Green photo from my collection)

Hi ! Think you are right ! :p
I'm only referring to that boat in Holland which carried the same name.
What strikes me is that the "Double Trouble" name is given to the same type of boat and engines. This name however doesn't do it justice : my own Yammie 200hp has been troublefree.

Ring 21C
My 21C was had a very similar colour scheme to Double Trouble in blue. Maybe someone tried to copy it. I did a re-furb last year and mine was never rigged for twins though. She came in from Spain to Ireland 4-5 years ago and was originally white with blue stripe and screen
