Made it to the slipway!
Well as a few of you will know I sold my phantom eariler this year to buy a bernico (wanted one ever since I saw Cyes). I brought this as pretty much a bare hull in feb after a very drunk weekend in Belgium with Burty and although nothing as major as alot of threads on here it was my intention to save £1000's by doing pretty much everything myself (that bit has defo not worked despite me doing my bit) starting with designing and building a trailer, tabs etc etc.
Well I thought I'd pop her in the wetstuff tonight to see just how bad the leaks where around the rams which I have built (on the bernico's come through from inside the hull). Well, shoock gosh horror all was bone dry and I'm posting here as I'm chuffed to bits, not just with this but the trailer tows like a dream and its pretty low so I hardly have to drop the car into the water at all making the lauching a breeze. I only have a couple of pics on the trailer as it was only me and the dog (Ellie, she's in a pic) and she hasnt mastered my camera yet!
Bring on next week and I should be able to put a couple of pics of her on the water!!!
Not very interestign to the masses but I'm happy as lary with part one of tesitng

Will be at some stage Kitten but unless I get my arse in gear not with the boat, although if the weathers ok I fancy staying down for a few nights next week if I can find a campsite with good access. Just so I can play in the estuary.

When I get a bigger credit card limit! Although it pains me to say unless things improve I may well have to sell this, if thats the case I will defo try for what your thinking. If I could come up with a few £ I'd buy it now.

looking good
Well done Dan
Bet you have a better apprieciation of the amount of work needed to completed this level of build now!!!
Serious hours needed to get bit right.
It really does look good well done.
Did you make your own water pick-up or did Nico leave one in there?
What is the trialer nose weight like?
Looks like it may be a little heavy with the wheels that far back.
looking forward to seeing it.
Amazing to drive arn't they!

It was pure frustration for long periods to be honest when things didnt go right first time. There still things that I need to do over the winter but I just wanted to get a little bit of use in the tale end of summer.
Cye, the pick up was about the ONLY thing that was left off, ask Rob, even little switches were taken out!
As for the trailer the nose is fine to be honest, it tows really well, at one stage I did have the wheel further back but changed them at the last minute to mount under the V's in the trailer. Glad I didnt go any lower on the tralier tho, again at one stage I only had about 4" clearance underneath so another late night change took place! I am chuffed as how shallow I cant lauch in though, should save on the rear discs on the car now!!!
As for the driving bit that comes next, hopefully this weekend!
Thanks for the comments.

That looks spot on Dan like the way the radious(sp) on the mudguards matches the wheels.

Well, speaking from my experience with Bob at Exmouth this year I think I'll be just fine.
