Thanks Ringmaster, I get some really strange looks from people when I am leaving town marina and they are about ten feet above me in their cruisers, the cub runs great with the 25 on, I have the electric start/gauges and led nav lights it looks cool at night but I have not timed the speed yet.
It is great fun but soooooo wet you need a wetsuit to drive it.
Lloyd there are about eight of these mini cougars on the island, one nutter (yes pengers) put a 50 mariner on, you should have seen it go.
Most others are running yam 25 or 30,s
Regards
Steve

I had a yellow one of these that I put a merc 50 on. Was a bit of a handful and needed some serious offset on the motor. Plus when you launched it you had to get on the plane asap

spitfire
I used to own one of these and i sold it to a friend who is selling it again now
we heavily reinforced it kitted out the interior and put an evinrude Elan 35hp power trim n tilt longshaft on it and found it wouldnt plane the engine was far to heavy so... added a hydraulic plastimo trim tab kit (which i dont think they do anymore) and it was silly fast !! you had to be careful not to over trim it or it would nose dive... It now only has a five horsepower evinrude on it because my friend wanted it for his daughter and doesnt plane as it needs to be a longshaft
