Crank refurb

Hi all, does anyone know if its possible to have an outboard crank refurbed ?

I have a crank out of a 90 e-tec that has some slight water damage to it and was wondering in this day and age if it can be saved.

As you cant buy oversize bearings for outboard cranks can they be built up and then ground down to standard spec ?

If anyone knows of a company that can do this kind of think i would be very greatfull.

Rob

Mike it up and check against the spec for the degree of damage, you may find it's less than it looks. If the water damage is minor the crank may be fine. You can by rollers from a bearing company, usually in a bag of 100 or more. Worth investigating.
