I have one in Christchurch, currently re-upholstering and few more bits ready for spring.
Have a few original documents with it.

There was one for sale in Christchurch a few months ago . Maroon I think ? Also remember one , late eighties called Jonathan Livingstone Seagull if I remember correctly . Plus the big rib there is a Bonito hull. I saw one tied up outside the Captains Club in the summer .
No one replied about the black one , I wonder where it is , always liked them.

Haha. The one in Christchurch (elkins) is called fireball, mine was the one outside captains club. Christchurch must be the retirement location for them.

Passed you on the water , I think two men and a lady on it at the time , Was yours called J L Seagull ? I seem to remember it doing some races mid 80's.

I’m thinking where to keep it at the moment. Ideally I’d find some indoor storage for winter, and a less tidal mooring for summer, if you’ve any ideas. We got it back in the water in October, I think first time in 20 years!

Mines moored outside captains, just wish the summer was longer and the tide is annoying but I guess I'm outside the pub so can't complain.

Romantically I like the idea of refurbishing and recycling.
Practically. £50K gets a lot of turn key boat at the moment.
New motors and props would be interesting compared to the original iron work.
Thought it might stir a few emotions from the old guard

Exactly
How many ads were in the paper Autotrader
'For sale unfinished project'
95% complete with all parts needed to finish.
Lack of time/work/wife/husband/dog forces reluctant sale.
Receipts for £12k sale price £3000 ono
As above and I'm sure your's is a prime example of 'a lot of boat'
You're spot on about being brave for these big projects. Commitment to time and budget is everything.
Good luck with the sale of yours
