GRP repair material and repairs

How do I repair minor fractures and impact cracks permenantly. These cracks don t warrant structural work but when chased out and filled with epoxy ,the filler eventually seperates from the hull.
Have looked on the net for a process but got no real information.

Above water is fine and the repairs hold perfectly............

must be a book out there?

Whereby he'll repair the crack...........then realise you need to have the boat retrimmed...... ...and during that you'll realise that there are more holes to be filled in...... so you may as well have your motor rebuilt at the same time..... all of a sudden you'll realise that the boat may be some time before it gets wet again.... but think of all that free storage............

i have the same problem on my boat,i have asked gav and his advice was to fill with gel coat,if your re-spraying i would suggest also choosing a colour of gel coat the opposite of the colour of the hull/deck,that way you can clearly see if its in to the crack well.

Repaired a 75mm ding to the rear of the hull with gel coat a couple of times after scabbling and priming the raw gel down to glass.
Got cheesed off with it fracturing again so removed the filler and filled it with plastic steel as a temporary measure (close to second race that weekend). That stuff has stayed but dunno if it might be porous.

Wondered if there was a structural strength epoxy mix that would make the repair under the fracture and hold a finish gelcoat in place.
