omc v4 @ 7500rpm ?

does anybody know something about this engine bought together with the boat at weymouth last year

boat is a crusader16 fitted prop is a 24" raker but doesnt impress the engine
i never heard an omc scream like that longer than a few seconds

I spoke to a guy who had a V4 looper and it did 7800rpm and it still does!

I have a video of it but bad quality...

Which speeds are you getting?

Engine realy sounds great...

Could it be a Gordon Council race rig? He used to bring the steering aft in the Ring/da Costas.
What year is the engine?

... i dont know, the guy i bought it from doesnt know anything about the boat sold it for a friend only i remember

... engine must be something like 1972~1974

... chopper28 with 13 splines 4 omc ?
... have the same way at friday evening to essex/kent picking up two boats but without any stops for collecting boatparts at belgium
