It s on rails ! Only it s hard to get on plane because the big props but when it go s it s à dream no prop tq just à straight run .

But whit THE normal bravo it s also very good to handle it jumps on plane and runs straight to THE 90 + and thats whit à prop that we had on the shelf (regular bravo)at the first run
Now we have to play whit some bigger props and other sorts like à chopper
And try à shorty propshaft is almost 6" below the v , so i think there must be some mph left

thanks !

Thanks guys !!

I don't know what the fastest 21 is or was but it performs very well whit the inboard and all the weight low in the boat ,and where still not there just had a few trips and need to do a lot of testing ,The blackhawk is very nice but have a lot slip and shifting is hard whit the 2 props and high idle of the engine .

So I wanna try a shorty on it and do some prop testing maybe a chopper and see if we can come close to the triple digits however the accelaration is incredible it push real hard .

Paddy ,thx ! And most of all good luck whit your own boat !!

keep in touch !

cheers Bor

imco sc -3"

Got a imco sc -3" extreme drive this week from the states and had a nice evening whit flat water to do some testing , the prop shaft is now at 2,5" below the v so i hope we get on plane .

getting on plane was a little hard and need a little turning to get enough water but it works

We started whit the 26 bravo prop just as I used on the regular bravo and got a dissapointed 88 mph out of it then we swapped it for a LH 28" bravo and got to 90mph at 5600rpm after that I realize that we put in GBB insert mufflers to get the noise down after removing those we did two long wot runs both at 96 mph @6000 rpm
Handling whit the imco is almost as good and stable as whit the Blackhawk, just a little chine walk but only above the 85 mph and very minnor .

Now planning to try a cutting edge 27" 5 blade and space it down 1"

let s see wat happends getting cloe to the triple digits !

Mine is certainly not a light weight ,hope to get it on the scale this week ,but also have a lot more hp then a outboard so it s comparing apples to oranges .

however it incredible how it handles at those speeds if I know that before I have done it right after my first outboard on !

I want to try some props and maybe we can get some more out of it but for now I m very happy whit the results it s a real man s toy and addicted to drive.

today we get out whit the cutting edge 5 blade which should have a lot of bow lift in it but that wasn t what happend ,got beter out the hole but didn't get it further then 90 and 6200 rpm so had quite some more slip then whit the bravo 1 .

also had my diesel props whit me a maximus 32 and a bravo 1 34 which are way to big but we wanted to know if the maximus produce more bowlift so just put it on ,and the engine pushed it to 90 mph and 5000 rpm !!
it did give more bowlift and drove much better then the cutting edge .

after that we put on the 34 bravo and that result in a 92 mph at 5200 that small lock is a nasty strong engine !

would love to try a 28 chopper anyone have something that have that whit a xr hub ?

cheers

Impressive! Would love to see and hear it pass (on vid or in reality off course)
Sounds like the five blade Maximus in the right pitch is definately the way to go ! You 're getting good slip% with those props.

Have fun testing and good luck !

update

So we got it on the scale and it weight 1360 kg dry so it s not a very light one !
This is also very noticable in the rougher water as the boat really doesn t make any noise or flex .

We added a "1 spacer on the drive to look if we get more lift but that wasn t happening it feeled not as good as whit out the spacer ,it was a little loser and couldn t get it furter then 5600 rpm and 90 mph ,it was a rough day and wasn t able to switch the prop to the 26 so that will be the next step .

here a pic on the way back not very sharp was taken thru a window .

How much does the motor and sterndrive weigh?
Any idea about the hull weight only?

1300 sounds heavy but you are getting some impressive numbers. Bet it runs real nice in the rough!

The engine weights 260 kg dressed ,the imco 70 kg and a gimbal 20 so thats 350 kg total ,the hull is heavy this because I bought it complete but the wood was terrible and placed totaly wrong was a complete mess and wouldn t servive a 50 hp on the back of it !

The glass work was pretty decent and not thin 6-8 mm so I complete stripped it and put in 2 stringers that are from transom to dash 38 mm thick and then 18mm to the nose .
that we have glassed in whit 7 layers 450/600/450/450/600/450/450 from side to side which add another 6mm on the bottom

the transom we did whit 40 mm wood and 4 layers of glass

the underfloor is 12mm wood and the top floor is 18mm both glassed whit 4 layers of glass

we also place a front bulkhead in of 12 mm whit foam between the hull and deck and it stands all way down in the V .

Hull and deck are bonded whit epoxy (just like all wood )and glassed together whit 5 layers of glass

We build it strongh enough to be safe in the rough and last long whit the power and speed wouldn t be in a flexing boat at 80 +!!

if you hit the side it hurts !it have no weak spots beside the persons in it !

She rides great also in the rough very stable and noting unpredictable very little chain walk easy to steer out that swhy we exaly want fater its to easy !
