trim tabs,why fit them?
can someone explain to me(idiot) the purpose of fitting trim tabs,what do they do to the boats handling?

I was having a glass of wine with Soni Levi one evening in the Virgin Mega store,
(86, I think, when Branson was doing the Atlantic Challenge thing) and I asked him about trim tabs.
His view was, “you can get boxed in”.
Tabs can be a good thing, but you should set up your boat before thinking you need them!
