I have a 2.0 150 HP. 1996 vintage. Great motor but too little compression from the factory. Shave the heads to 28 CC and you'll forget all about wanting to change the powerhead. Remove the idle stabilizer if you are using it and retime to 23 degrees total timing. You WILL need to use premium fuel but it will run like it never did before. Remove the oil injector and run 40:1 premix.
With a 19 pitch prop I typically hit mid 60's at 6400 RPM.
