XR2 handbook states 6.5k for full throttle RPM

Rpm

The XR2 is the same engine as the S2000 but configured as a right hand motor, the S2000 revs to 8-9000rpm no problem on a light cat.

I used to rev my XR2 to 7500 RPM all the time with the odd blast up to 7800 RPM this had no ill affect and the engine lasted the seasion no problem.
