New look coming for BoatMad!
Hi folks - I wanted to let you know that later this week the forum is getting a long overdue facelift. The look of the forum will be updated and a couple of new features added. There should be very little time offline while this is completed and all your posts and images should be retained.

There is room in the new side bar for a variety of content and it will be periodically changed. Rotating pis of member boats, the "who's online" list, etc. That screen shot is a mock up

Wonderful, lets chop 20% off the side of the content area so that all the posts get squeezed. Thankfully add-block saves me from the nastiness of the internet and makes it usable again.

Boat mad used to open pages so quick it's now so slooooooow and the ads are a pain
Cracks me up when you her people moaning about the BBC licence it's only 40 pence a day and then they say that other channels are free. er ads bloody ads
I spend £2.50 a day on sky and have to suffer the ads. as well

I don't see the adds, just white spaces where they were... Still annoying as it wastes 1/3 of the page.

I am afraid to say it now takes so long to load a page (and we are on fibre) that I am now loosing the will to visit Boatmad and if it carries on I will look elsewhere for my boat fixes!
Boatmad is becoming like racing in the UK it is dying because a simple format has been complicated !!!!

It wont let me upload any from my ipad
I can get images on the manage attachments page then when i try and shut page to carry on with post it freezes

I just tested with Safari on my Ipod (see above post) and was able to browse and upload without an issue.
I am not an Apple guru by any means, in fact, I only have this Ipod for debugging stuff like this. Are you doing anything different than I am other than using an Ipad?
