Who is the race being run by? Is there a website or anything? And what National Classes are running on Saturday...worth heading down?
Also....do we think the best place to watch will be from the pier? Remember watching it from there a few years ago, and were surrounded by all 6 supporters!! (Even though it is actually one of the only races that you can see a fair bit of from shore!)
How many are doing the Basic Race? Sorry about the questions....

Hi Amanda, it's run by the Royal Motor Yacht Club in Poole.
Last year the Pier was shut to the public, as there was work being done on it, not sure if it's re-opened yet.

The pier was open recently when the zapkats were racing at Bmth ther were railings up and you couldn't get right to the edge. This was looking westwards but the end of the pier (south facing )should be ok.If not the east cliff and west cliff provides a great vantage point for the spectating. or the harbour lights pub above the imax.cheers enjoy.

So...are any of you going? Also, I know it is the wrong area, but Rupert and I were looking on the UKOBA website, and they have some training things (endorsed by RYA) and I was wondering if anyone knew if they were happening)? Like RYA Level 2? ( I think...general boat handling....)
If anyone is going to the race, is there a prizegiving or anything? I remember it used to be at the hotel in their restaurant in Poole?
Amanda (still little Ben...and does have own account but lazy)
