different race, that little lap was for class 2 and 2 litre only

Sadly, it seems one would not get course approval for the "Round the 'Wight" part nowadays, unless you could muster about 100 or more marshall/patrol boats !
It was a good course though for the Class 3 & cruisers.

I reckon that's exactly the same as the Class III 2 litre Europeans in 2000 - We won the first shorter race in the Solent in what can only be described as fierce conditions!
