Helicopter for CTC
How many competitors would be willing to pay towards a helicopter for Cowes? The last price I heard for the rental was 2000 pounds but it might be available for less. The Martini team would be up for 300 to start. Who's interested?

What a waste of time! After endless phone calls and emails (which don't get replied to) I only have five boats wanting to be filmed during the CTC race. Need another three or four to cover the Chopper and film crew but frankly I have run out of time and energy so am giving up. Can't see why I should beat myself up trying to get this going as obviously very few really care! It's been like CMC all over again!
Anyone wanting to carry on with this is welcome - give me a call 07860 285438 but be warned, you might get lumbered with the Chopper costs as some teams might delay paying!!!!!!
Good luck to those taking part, have a great race.
ML.

£300 per boat is a lot of money Mike..........now you know why John & I are worn out keeping this race going!
The good news is that the race is on, and we know who is in it, and you can see on the web site who has paid up fully....
It would be very helpful if the other entrants got their entry forms and cheques in so that we can upload them on to our web site!

That's exactly what I was thinking. You'd spend that much on a meal out for the team.

Well I paid nearly that for ONE photo 25 years ago which I still treasure and would have paid double to get my boat filmed in a CTC race, but what do I know.
Oh, and by the way, now you know how I felt running the CTC races and I'm 20 years older than you.

Mikko....are you coming to Cowes?
You may be blessed with some water that suits your boat!
When I think of stamina, I think of my father when he was 71 in the fountain doing 80 knots for the few miles I actually had the boat running.....
And yes Mikko and Maranutic £300 to you and me is not alot........some teams have a very tight budget......so to them it is a step too far....

No CTC. Will have surgery to my back in the beginning of September to fix an old MX-related injury.
Also the cost for one race is to high, the transport only, from Sweden and back, is about £8000...
Dean G kindly offered me a place in his Fountain but sadly I had to say no thanks.
