Race equipment

Have a look here, helmets and lifejackets. Not sure if they comply with RB08 rules, but they are UIM certified so I assume they are okay!?

We're using Stilo helmets with Stilo intercoms - they're comfortable and you can choose between a full face helmet or a semi full face (like the ones they use in rallying). Also take a look at Peltor - they have full face and open face helmets (as well as intercoms) and are very good. Both Stilo and Peltor have numerous intercom systems, with VHF and telephone inputs etc. Worth looking at.

For vests, we're using Frode (www.frode.se) - large and not the best looking, but very functional and the quality is supposedly the best.

For protective clothing we're bringing a few options. A durable and warm offshore set (jacket/pants) as well as some very light shell jacket/pants. If the weather is OK we will surely get warm as hell, and heavy/warm clothing will be more of a liability than a benefit...

And all of this just to get to the next pub ...

If you don't mind buying from the states go here:

http://www.securityrace.com/

Speak to Patrick who is very helpful, however this is his busy time. The website is a bit dated so best to call and have a chat with him. Jackets, Helmets, Intercoms, Radio, etc built by people who race for people who race One Stop Shop.
