Off the top of my head, the Guern Legends are Gerv, Wilson & Trotter
Jersey Smith & Unwin
4 of the above moved to the CI, so technically should be classed as English.
My best for creating "New Heroes".

Guernsey powerboat racing in 60s,70s,80s,90s,00s?
generally some vintages are better years then others but what a rich history

Well as far as numbers are concerned for next season, I've just finished building/running in the new powerhead for the B28 ! Toby and I are intending to come up and play a few times with you guys - its killing me watching you have fun and not be able to join in!!!!!!
I don't know where all the old Jersey racers have gone - with a thread like this it's hard not to want to have a say if you had anything to do with the good old days. I remember when Guernsey week was the first thing to go on the new years calendar!!
So keep up the good work James (and your committee of course)

Ha ha, Toby, Moose, it'd be great to have you guys over here, not least of all so I can actually get to meet you!! There should be a few boats in your class next year too!
Dowdy, that's be great, I'll even have an immaculately built and rigged P18 with a 115 she can borrow if you like, as can anyone else who doesn't want to bring a boat but wants to join in.
Lets get Guernsey back to what it used to be!!
Cheers, James

Funny you should mention that Cliff, I was just saying the other day how great it would be to have the V24's back in guernsey, you could even have your own class to race for the season to give it a bit more purpose

Keep up the good work and it is a lot of hard work. I was on organising committee at Wallasey and Dunoon during late 80's, early 90's. Might be able to get over to spectate sometime, as my OH works over on Jersey quite a bit.
