Cheers JW
Found a spot where most of the boats were bouncing around( except the Skater) but should have positioned myself with the sun behind me.
Going to get Photoshop on it and see if I can raise the colours of the boat.
Cheers
Mark

Not at all, it's the backlighting that gives it its atmosphere.

Puma`s
Jon.Interesting to note your diatribe re Puma`s,but you have now got me wondering if my records are straight.
Unipart - Hospitality Inn - Thistle Hotels - Riverside Marina.
Westons Kodak - Petrel Stainless Steel - Sweet Dreams.
Fat Cat - Papa Kilo.
Got me tin hat on.

Graham,
Unipart wasn't Hospitality. it was the predecessor to Fat Cat & Westons Kodak. It was I think, rather 'off the pace' and heavy.
Hospitality was built in '89 new for Geoff (raced from '90) and was a development of the sister boats 'Fat Cat' & 'Westons Kodak'. (Fat Cat originaly built for Paul Miller of Jersey and Westons for Patti Barker & her fella, whos name escapes me right now)
Westons, whilst still in Kodak colours but under Richard Strutton ownership/control, had the fatal Alhallows accident that took Brass Wilcoxons life. Joe Donohoo & Paul (Hicks) then set about moving the cockpits aft by about 18" to shift some CofG (it used to take the tops off everything) and the canopies were fitted. It re-emerged as D32 (previously D50) Richard drove that boat very hard in rough races, as did Rob Mills in the sister boat, both with some success, but they lacked top end compared to the newer developed 'Hospitality Inns', which walked away from them in the calmer races with relative ease.
Not sure what became of Unipart after Mr Yoeman moved on to Class II with Pascoe as his 'boy'.
The rest I believe is correct.

Come on JF with the mind of information that you are, and you can't remember Patti Barkers fellas name.... It was Mike Standring, who raced in the late 80's!

Thank you!
He also ran with Peckie in the class II Burnett Skater 28 ' Cultured Vulture' in '95, but they 'floundered'. Especially in the very rough Southern Speed Trophy race, where we lapped em in the 'T' boat and won 1st overal. at an astonishing 30-odd mph (they averaged 11mph!) also lapped Hospitality that day. Twoz definitely not a cat day!
I stood alongside Patti in the big Shead 'Debenhams' for a couple of races in '91 (Guernsey & Folkstone), she was part of the connection tween Roger Fletcher and the department store sponsor. Just trying to remember the name of the female Debenhams exec who was Pattis mate, she also did the odd race in it.
I believe Patti & Geoff Ward are an 'item' these days.
I expect 'Techno 40' will remember all this stuff much better and fill in the spaces.

Graham, did Badger become ALF E or vice versa?
Also Miss Enfield at the Needles (70) ran with "outrigger" steering and I think she came to Les Embies with it when did Soppy change over to the merc z's?
