No, it's an old swedish model. Originally designed for the 3-litre class in the late 80's. A friend of mina, Markus Jansson, built it (hull & deck) for me and I have built and rigged the rest.

The hull originates from the famous Smuggler 18 by Herman Henriksson och Lennart Ebbekke in the 60's.

It is surprisingly close between the different possibilities. My close friend Lasse Norrman, who made the rules did a great job.

In this class old V24's race against my boat, B23's, Phantom 21's, Frodé 21, Bass23.

Certainly some boats have the upper hand, V24 in really rough seas for example.

It's a great class.

Looks great, I'll look forward to getting the P21 out there!!
Do you have a schedule/calendar for up coming races in the new season, I'd love to try and coordinate a trip with one or two events.

On the video that engine looks set quite high are you running 20 inch leg or just sat down very low in the boat ?

Yes it's 20 inch. We are not allowed to use the 15 inch in this class. Rules are, non-race totally standard production engines.

On the other hand I'm sitting very low in the boat, about 4 inches above the keel.

I've built the boat with extremely low COG in mind. And it has proven to be a good setup. I can drive faster than many bigger boats in rough seas.

We had great weather, maybe 12-14°C. We had lunch outside at Ingmarsö Restaurant. Really sweet!

Hi Jonp

The pictures look great and the format for the racing is certainly interesting!
Do you know if anyone over there is looking for a very well built/rigged Phantom 21 to race?
We have one for sale with an XR2 on, Latham hydraulic steering and on a 4 wheel bunkered trailer.. see pics

Jay

Hi Jay!

I've looked at your boat and it looks great.

I can put a sales ad on our Swedish forum Boatsite.se. What kind of money are you looking for. The engine will be hard to sell since it is no longer allowed as race engine in Sweden.

Hi Jonp,

If you could put a sales ad on that would be fantastic, thank you!
If there is interest in the boat then we will happily sell it without the engine?
My email is jrjackson0@hotmail.com and my number is +44 7774604149
We'd like offers around £12,500 complete or offers around £9,000 for just the boat and trailer.
Thank you.
Jay
