Just out of interested...
Why are they so serious about only selling them to known race teams?
Was it the same with XR2s when they were new?

No warranty or no CE, or both possibly.
The 2 cycle oil is interesting, £145.00 + vat for 10 litres, as it's a JP5 oil.

i dont see how this engine fits the rules as it states they have to be readily available to the public, and if there is no CE is it still a epa engine?

Well, I wouldn't say that my phone has been ringing all day, but I have two confirmed orders, one of whom has paid his deposit.
The price is as stated earlier, although bulk discounts may apply!
Any more whilst vat is at 15%?

So did we make the minimum order?

Europe (Belgium) didn't make the order, but that's probably because like us, that weren't prepared to take the chance on not getting one. I know several are coming the same way as ours, so no doubt you will be following quite a few!!!!!

The Mercury XR2 was first available in the UK in 1985, although XR2 "bits" to bolt onto the Mercury 150 had been around for a few years before then.
