If the UK VAT was previously paid, it has to be the same one. I don't think there's been any others imported, and it did come through Poole Aquatic.

IMHO.....

Case closed.

Richard Carr's Cougar 41, with triple 930hp motors ran 105, was used by the loonie Richard Carr for some time, driven like he stole it, and not so much as a hairline crack.

Baja unfortunately is pretty much the Bayliner (no offence intended to any Bayliner owners) of performance boats.

Noisy has run 80+ for over twenty years and nothing major has fallen off, apart or adrift so far as I know.

Ok.. Had no choice but to call Poole Aquatic... believe i spoke to Gavin..

He has confirmed that it was the one mentioned by "Admiral P. Brain" ( damage to port bow ) which was apparently repaired by "Baja" in 2004,
He also commented on the excellent quality of the repair... (fecked if i can see where it was either )
Still kind of confused as to why it had to sit around for 2 seasons before repair but guess i'll never know the answer to that one.

As i said before the owner is up for a "Deal" as long as its not a pis*- take ( car / cruiser / hgv / plant etc.. ) WHY.

Whatever has happened in the past it's still a nice looking boat !!!

Certainly sounds good too ... must be as thirsty as hell tho ... but then if your thinking about buying it, you can't be concerned about that!

I would guess that it had to stay as it was for so long due to legal implications/evidence/court case etc after the incident.

If it is a steal it will sell at some point but it has to be a steal boats with 3 engines just don't sell very well. I guess with gas prices today I can see why. Personally I am not botherd about the gasprice but my bet is that 99 percent of all boaters are.

So lets hear it, is it a steal or not ? Price ?

I tried advertising my old Top Gun on this site and had no response. I don't think the market in UK is very big for that type of boat. I think we might have more boats like that here than you doo in the UK.

Would love a cig in the future though.

No I have not been there lately but since you are the expert on the UK please list offshore powerboats in the UK. If you read my post you will se that I stated that we probably have more of this type of boats here, not one word about racing ! I was reffering to real offshore boats not ribs etc. Now lets see the list.

Yeah, but you cant ignore the past, history has a habit of repeating itself.

Its a bit like a hooker really, might look nice but you wouldnt marry one because of the previous history.

I reckon you could be right, but Denmark has a higher disposable income per head than the UK i would guess.

Oh, and the Danish are all mad.

Excuse me, a Baja isnt a Formula or a Fountain or indeed from any pedigree that i know of.

I thought Baja was owned by Sea Ray?
