Phantom 21 - Mercury 2.5 200

Phantom 21 - Mercury 2.5 200

Boat:
The boat is a 1986 Steve Baker built Phantom 21 named ‘The Chiseler’. It has a Mk2 deck (with dash pod and riveted screen ) but the later Mk3 hull with running pad at the back.

The striped design on the hull is within the gel and I have never seen another Phantom with the same design. It is in good condition for its age with not many stress cracks. When we got the boat the deck had been painted but have wet sanded it back to the original gel which is in good order - bar a small mark on the nose ( see picture).

The holes in the dash at the front are where a Garmin chart plotter were fitted.

In 2020 a new transom was fitted at Romney Marsh marine. This was done the correct way by fully removing the deck and they have done an excellent job with pictures and receipts showing this.

Also has a complete cover.

Since restoring the boat in 2019 my brother and I have competed in the UKOPRA offshore championship, winning our class in Guernsey the same year and finishing 3rd in our class championship in 2021.

We took the boat out last week and it ran at 65mph in its current set up. We have seen higher speeds with the engine higher and different gearbox / Prop.

There is a box file full of near enough everything we have bought for the boat in our ownership.

Very capable, stable boat and well known in the boating community, reluctant sale but other projects means it has to go.

Would love for it to go to another enthusiast and for them to have as much fun with it as we have.

Located in Tunbridge Wells.

£9,500 ONO

Would consider an offer on the rigged boat less the engine.
