I think the US gallon is quite a bit smaller than a British one, (1 US gallon is 3.8 litres) so more like 342 litres an hour, that's still around £430 an hour, and to convert that back to dollars that's $620 an hour.

To put that into perspective we are hoping to achieve 100 litres an hour for our twin 3 litre Yanmar diesel setup, running at about 70mph will cost us £130 an hour and it's a bigger boat! Of course there are several downsides to running diesels - no big block V8 sounds - anything else?

Good luck with the sale Scott - I think it's probably better suited to the US market myself, but you never know!

OK, something is not right....i burn 60 gallons in a race ( 55-60 miles ) .

so over here, 120 USD , the gallon ( 3.8 liter ) is $ 2.85 !!!!

And remember, the engine is a 598 CI,,,so if u go 70 MPH..its way less then that !!!

"anything else" .....yeah, no smelly fingers while fueling, no black clouds behind u, and its simple carburated where almost everybody can work on it ...plus it puts out ~ 700-800 HP easy !!! OH..and it looks cool !
Its also lighter then a diesel.
