I,ve got one ,a zf 280 ratio 1:1 with a bell housing for a Yanmar 440.
I bought it with my engine (6LYA-STP) but I never used it because I have a bravo XR drive .

I here you haven't had the boat in the water for a while!
Whats up?
Props are here but you need to convert you shaft to an Arneson 25 tooth

Hi Jason, haven't been out for a couple of reasons, firstly I had a leak at the carbon seal on the drive, secondly dads prop (17x28) is way to small, hence the Yanmar is not getting anything to do.
Getting 63mph on the GPS and I am unsure weather to change the ratio of the box to 1:1 and go with a smaller pitch to decrease torque steer or spend the money on the Arneson Shaft and try your bigger prop. What is your opinion?. I am at a cross roads, unsure what to do.
Sterling, on the forum here, has a 1:1 ratio ZF280 He hasn't got back to me with a price yet. If his price is within reason I may go down that road, problem being I have already spent quite a few quid on the current ZF220 I have now.Ah well, that's boats!!!!

Gearbox first that will give you more options on props as you wont need as much pitch, like you say this will help reduce the torque steer.
C ya in the Lakes in November you still going?
