can you not do it with somesort of float switch or sensor in the pipe so it brings on a light on the dash maybe??

You're right about the corrosion look at the rust...

You're right about the corrosion look at the rust on the positive nut, that can't help to make a good contact. Can't see them replacing it under warrenty.
How is it held in dude? was the clamp...
