Shame about the Trimax.
As Chaos said, if you want to go with new Mercruiser, the NXT or SSM6 are your options. The Bravo One XR is rated for a maximum of 600 hp.
Alternatively, you could look at Imco or Konrad or perhaps a used/rebuilt SSM V. None of these options will be cheap. What do you mean by cost effective?

Cost effective I really mean cheap. What would be the cheapest complete package ie engine /box and drive? I was thinking of marinising a 454 and super charging it. If there is a better /cheaper option I'm all ears?

Did it race as World of cars with Ken Throne and Nicolini?
If I remember correctly the Geir Arnestad design went with Nicolini to Italy and the Nicolini Searacer emerged soon after.

splash it. That is what I was told.
Beautiful boat!!!

Yup, Ken Thornes boat, also named 'Colourmet' at one point. (ex Ugland)
I think world of cars was another Ken Thorne boat though. There was a very odd, narrow OB powered one that I think was WOC.

Konrad ACE with XF upgrade has a BHP Rating of 800 BHP (petrol).
I have a pair for sale: http://www.boatmad.com/forum/showthr...ghlight=konrad
but would prefer not to split them. I can recommend Konrad highly as an alternative to Merc.

Hi MD, I last saw Baby Uno looking very unloved in the yard at Maritimo Offshore on the Gold Coast. Are we talking about the same boat?

Not too sure but I think was a few years. Not sure how Bill B-C came by it and when.
It's a great looking boat and it would be great to see it running again.

I have not heard that it sunk, I saw some pictures a year ago, and it was in it storage, i believe the boat is in good condition.
