I was moored in Hamble Point Marina on Friday and Saturday night I was on G20 (about 4 boats up from the bat) and was admiring it; looks fast even when stationary.
Does it really only do 54 mph with a slipping supercharger belt? I would have come for a play as my Extreme with a much needed engine rebuild is still doing 62mph, would have cheered me up going past you. The boat will be awsome at 75mph+ when its sorted, good luck.

When we originally ordered the motor, the spec was that it would make max power at 4200rpm, this meant the torque when flat out was 'ballpark' the same as my 325 V8s, as their max power is made at 3600rpm.
So, whilst being supercharged means that it will be possible to load the drive up more at the lower revs than with the turbocharged application, so obviously one would have to be carefull when 'booting it', it should stand a fighting chance at the higher speeds, as mine have now lasted over 3500 miles/250 hours, and they're not 'X's.
Never had a single problem with my drives at all.
However, before the engine actually got fitted into the boat, it was called back to Sweden by the manufacturer for an 'update', which included a blower change.
Now the max rpm is being quoted as 3600rpm, the same as mine! So who knows.
The 8 cylinder motors seem quite a bit kinder on the drives than the 6 cylinder ones anyway, so all we can do is suck it and see.
May have to tip some spinach in there.
It's being weighed this week to make sure the fit out & rig wasn't too excessive. Either way, even if it were half a ton heavier than it should be, it wouldn't cause the loss we have (20 mph) so it really has to be a power issue.

I thought the fwd section looked a bit B-22-ish. quite distinctive!
Also, the two steps are very close together, just as they were on Ian Cutlers B22, 'Large it'.
