Unknown beauty in a Cigarette dress
Found this link in a french forum (Thanks Fabrice!)
This boat is in Germany for about three years so it was probably posted before. It is powered by two 572CI 1000HP engines.
One guy that should know (as he drove that thing) told me it was built in '88 by Souter for the Victory team Dubai. Does not make any sense to me. Who knows more?

I was working at Souters at the time and could be the boat that was built for the King of Spain. Certainly no tie-up with Victory / Dubai at that time.
A Don Shead design - pretty much as per the CUVs at that time.

it was good to speed it up, coz it looked better doing 70 than it did doing 40

Another tin wonder
Cigarette beauty! Wash you mouth out that man.
In the days when boy designers drew 2 litre powerboats on fag packets at the back of the Souter drawing office,this tin machine was created for King of Spain to zoom off over the horizon with the bint of the day,away from the paparazzi following him.
From memory I think they were Merlin engines fitted to a CUV type hull.Souter never made many tin powerboats.Goldrush cat being another.

I was absolutely, definitley, don't worry - it will happen 'promised' a ride out on that one. As always with boatyards they were behind with the build, it got launched, did a quick trial - then I came into work and it was gone!

Each to their own and all that, but i think it looks absolutely f**king horrendous!!
The cigarette it's based on looks ok, the copy just doesn't!
To me it's a shame he's tried to make a classic looking boat look so modern, could possibly have looked nice as a restored powerboat!

Oh Mr.Ufix 1,your standing on the edge of a cliff.
If you study the stealth pics and the ones at Souter you can see the similarities.Would the fact that I drew the Souter built boat,designed by Don Shead, qualify for being able to spot the likeness.
CUV`s were clones of Shead design construction, which had their rootes back to `Enfield Avenger` days in 1971.It`s those coachroof designs which the Italians did which to me look a bit iffy,what there is of it,although Sun Int/SDA/Thuraya looked fairly reasonable.
