Sell the Rib and buy a proper boat the only thing ribs are good for is going in to walls or a large fender!

Re: Bat Boat
That's an original 'Ocke Mannerfelt B-22', which is what the Backdraft was 'splashed' from.
Ian Cutler did pretty well in one in 3-B (1.3 litre) in fact that could well be his old boat I guess.

Yeah, I think they're just a lot sleeker, less freeboard etc, so they look a lot longer.

According to www.ocke.se, there's 0.7m difference in length, or 27.6" for the oldies

Agreed - Their boats looked awsome in the race and practice. The bigger ones cut through / across the water like a hot knife through butter!
0.7m makes all the differance!

Yep just go with it. Engine hight I dont think would have a lot to do with it unless it is very low ? Make sure the steering has minimal play in it. We use cable type steering over here for just that reason. Also chopper type props are a lot more aggressive than cleaver types but im not sure what type off blade your boat would respond to best choppers are fast but hard to drive
