C34 privateer
In November last year I bought a boat called 'C•34 Privateer' and I was wondering if anyone had anymore information about its racing years or old photos of it?

Without resorting to my library I think it was originally called Desparado then Privateer raced by two naval officers in the early 90's ( very good at navigation in one very foggy race ) it's been a long day can't remember their names Tim Williams springs to mind ?

Desperado was white and originally owned and raced by Dave Newlands.

I remember a white Marshan 21 called Desperado, raced in Guernsey with Colin Clark.
Saw Privateer with the navy guys race over here late 80's early 90's always ran well.

Privateer / Marshan
Hi , Privateer was one of the old Romney Marsh Marine race boats and at the time was called Marshan ( C18) fitted with an 150 XR2 and in our constant quest to get the boats ever lighter this was the first one we fitted with a balsawood transome. and I think it was only one I can remember fitting a grey screen to ? It was also used in Mariner UK for the review in October 88 , if you have problems getting a copy we could probably scan the pages for you , Hope this helps .

It would be great if you could scan it as I cannot find it anywhere. Thanks for the information.
