A Kevlar hulled rocket ship.
Ahoy Seadog,
The Cougar Cat 900 is reputed to withstand 65 knots in suitable conditions, due to the Kevlar sandwich hull, 40mm thick.
It can also withstand small arms fire, hence many were exported for military and police use, to problematic drug smuggling countries.
Made down in the south of England, Hampshire I think, and rumoured with some input from Halmatic in Portsmouth.
Anyhow on a clear day you might be able to see one that's berthed in the Isle of Man, which was used to frequently visit various Irish coast harbours.
It has not been advertised for sale, as yet, but she has twin Volvo 165 HP, turbo diesels, through Volvo duo prop 290 stern drives.
One of the Cougar directors had a blue one which resided in St Isla, not sure if it's still there.
Some were kitted out with Hamilton Jet Drives, a fantastic combination, especially when a fleeing pirate would throw ropes and nets over the side to fowl the pursuers props. Lots more info, at some stage, Combine.
