Re: first xl?

Golden Eye has the hull ID 007K, possibly a reason for the name.

This should make it the 7th boat built between Apr 96 and Mar 97. I was told it was a 96 boat originaly ordered as an P18 but changed just before construction started hence maybe the 18EXL badge.

But does that make it the 7th P18 and still possibly one of the first XL's or the 7th XL/EXL ????

Interesting thread this, if there is any other info out there I would like to hear more.

They were known as 18XL's to get them into OCR without being a totally new boat (and a whole load of expensive paperwaork) and a running production change - they were claimed to have come from the same mould

Must admit those Xl´s look really good.

I Think one of the best looking boats ever made!
Tops any size boat IMO.
