OK ..a different approach and perhaps this won't come out in the "invisible" font !

Was the V24 & 3C ORDA championship decided over two races 1 : Torquay & 2 : Littlehampton ?

licence/races

would still like to know how many national races are being organised so we can work out whether or not to get a national licence or go with event licences, the 3 that have been mentioned would not justify the cost

Racing 2011

I have refrained from posting until now as I am not one to start, let alone continue arguments but feel that a number of the comments on here have now more than overstepped the mark!

I may be 19 and been involved in racing for less years than others of you but I'm not stupid and don't appreciate being treated like it.

This year is going to difficult enough to do, so can we have some support for this Club and officials.

Yes Dave I more than agree, committee members do deserve respect from competitors AND their fellow committee Members. I was on the ORDA committee until just a few Weeks ago when I resigned for just this reason.

I was involved in making the decision as to which races would be 3B ORDA championship races having taken a vote from all potential 3B competitors before the AGM, So I know that there was never any mention of them having to enter all ORDA races to qualify for the championship. People for varying reasons, out of their control may or may not have been able to attend all the events so it would be ridiculous to suggest people would be penalised and lose their position in the championship on this basis.

Another mistake I think you are all making is talking of wanting 'pots' and trophies for our membership fee. What competitors want is recognition for turning up to all events that they could to support their club and other clubs, recognition for battling through enduring weather conditions to create some close racing and entertain the public and recognition for spending long nights patching up their boats regardless of budget to make the race the next morning. Now if that recognition comes in the form of a 'pot' then yes that's what competitors want!

Now at this point I could stoop to the level of you 'mature' adults on the forum and add a few swear words and insults but that's not going to solve anything.

..... I have also spell checked my document in word to avoid any constructive response being replaced by a spell checker.

As the Chairman of a national club i would expect better than an INSULT as a reply to a perfectly reasonable question.

Are you now saying that "pots" or (Trophies as they are more commonly known) were awarded according to how many tables you had at the ORDA dinner dance ?

I have a question..

Where was my invite to the orda dinner dance...?

To collect my "pot"

Also... My name is spelt.

STEWART...

If the club had any respect for its member.. They would check if the name of a member was spelt correctly...
