Off Thread - Will be great to see the News Boys given to competitors this year at Cowes.

Picture of mine is sadly standing next to a very cheap packet of cigars & a 15 year old Quaglino ash tray.

I was slightly hoping Nik Keyser would reply to this thread - got past me on the run up to Bournemouth Pier in '85 -

That G&T in the Royal Motor was bitter - even 25 years later!

The reason 2006 is missing is because the results were hard to come by.Sounds like an old record.
Since what few powerboat mags there were have disappeared, have relied on websites to publish results.UK national racing has been diabolical informing these, but maybe things are improving this year judging by things so far.

Aparently Boatmad *is* the source of all knowledge. Marc Lamont, Ana Banet in V69 first ahead of Vee Ganjavian, Charlie Williams-Hawkes in the Sunseeker XS. Two seconds between first and second, so a close finish....

We tried to enter. Went to the RYA to get licences but we don't have enough experience onboard! Great. Garmin will be listed for sale shortly.

That'll be Jeff holding them back.

You clearly need to be asking a few questions at the RYA. Do you know who made that judgement? One would 'like' to think whoever is charged with such a responsibility, has done rather a lot him/her self. May not be the case though.

If you are a member of the Drivers Powerboat Club you can get an emergency assessment of your ability - to meet the requirements of the RYA for racing and this can be arranged today - and signed off tonight. If you are not a member of the Drivers Powerboat Club, you can join for £10 today. So this problem put in your way by the RYA can be resolved correctly and under their rules in time for the event.

You would need to contact Gill at Drivers Dry Berthing for information and booking. I think there is a crainage fee and thats all the costs involved if you are already a member.

Cancer Pics

Pretty average pics,as taken with a 750mm lens,so it gives one an idea just how far out the course buoy was. They seem to get farther out every year, which is a drag both for snappers/spectators alike. The closer it is, the better the spectacle it is.

No show for Apache and Hot Lemon, with Project Racing ,Bounty Hunter & V8 retiring.

Fury first followed by V2 & V3.
