Hi I have a huge selection 3/4 blade props
I have some really fast PowerTech 26 props that are over and thru hub exhaust they are around that size and if you look on the PowerTech Web site the prop is described as the same as a trophy. The only difference is there faster!!!!
PM me if you like and I can send you pics ect

I had a tr4 for racing, and i had it modified by Brian who used to work at prop revs. The modification were to get it as close to a trophy as possible and it was very different from its original state. Also the stainless steel is not as good as mine rusted on the surface quite badly.

Rusting Propeller
Paul if your prop has started to rust it's because who ever worked on it hasn't passivated the metal afterwards.
When you work stainless with steel tools you contaminate it, most prop shops will just polish the prop afterwards and this works Ok in the vast majority of cases.
However to ensure that there is no corrosion and to get that factory fresh look you need to treat with Nitric acid. However since the 1st September this year the government has introduced a licence scheme to buy "Precursors to explosives", as far as I am aware no one in the propeller industry has been issued with one yet!!!
Thankfully I have a small supply!
I have found my PowerTech prop to be very fast with very good grip.
Although I have only done the Intial start to the hub work and Thomas is doing a trick he knows on the blades for me, it's going to Coniston for two different people to use next week.

Propellor Solutions
Thomas at Propellor Solutions is NOT closing down, just stopping the repairs due to health issues.

I'd be interested to hear how you treat the props that you work.
Normally, S/S passivation requires the item to be cleaned with a degreasing agent, then immersed in a bath of nitric acid, 20 - 50% by volume, depending on grade of Stainless for approx 30 minutes, followed by a good rinse in de-ionised water. Citric acid can be used instead of Nitric.
Now I've never been to a prop shop that had an acid bath, but thinking about it, I have noticed large amounts of lemon juice on the premises.

I did not say at all that it was a bad prop, i won a couple of races with it and done well quite a lot all I was saying is that they are quite different to the trophy. Brian done an amazing job on it but the grade of stainless is comaparable to early props and late props. Dave at steel developments educated me on that.

Propeller Solutions
Hi Thomas has sold Propeller solutions to someone.
My name was put up to buy it, however Thomas had all ready offered it to someone else.
Sadly they bought it.
Paul I have 2x PowerTech 26 pitch, one on a Flo Torq hub which is going to Coniston that I have done the first stage Hub work on. The other is stock standard on a 15 spline merc hub.
I also have two Trophys that are stock standard in stock. I have tried them and there are slight differences, but in my oppion there very similar, I prefer the PowerTech though.
There all for sale and any potential buyer is more than welcome to test. I also offer 28 days after you have bought to swap if you have the wrong pitch or you want to try a different prop.
Because the weathers bad I've extended all testing to 2 months. If you want a 3rd swap I charge £25 to cover polishing and rebalancing.
I always have at least 25 second user props in stock and stock is always changing!!!!
